Protesters demonstrating against President-elect Donald Trump blocked Inauguration Day security screening checkpoints in Washington, D.C., early Friday morning.
Protesters chained themselves to each other and the fences surrounding the checkpoints near the National Mall as inauguration attendees waited to pass through security screening.
Reports on Twitter showed that protesters shut down one security check point at John Marshall Park, which is near the U.S. Capitol Building, where President-elect Donald Trump’s swearing in will take place.
