Though the lead is razor-thin, Trump has now posted his longest string of days leading the race since the UPI/CVoter poll started in July, before the party conventions. Trump held a sustained lead for 10 days over Clinton prior to the conventions. Through much of August, Clinton enjoyed a polling bump from the Democratic convention, while Trump struggled through several controversies and campaign staff shake-ups. Since then, Trump has remained largely on-message and has now led the UPI/CVoter poll for the last 11 days.
